About the Micah Fund
The Micah Fund was established at the congregational meeting on February 2, 2003 to primarily accept current gifts, such as one time blessing gifts, and proceeds from congregational fundraisers. It was established with the goal of raising $50,000 (fifty being the "jubilee" number) by January, 2006.

The Micah Fund derives its name from our Mission Statement, “King of Kings: Doing Justice, Loving Kindness, Walking Humbly with God”, taken from Micah 6:8. It is an ongoing fund established to address justice issues and support people suffering particularly from economic injustice.

The first priority of the Micah Fund is to pay into the Geldaker Educational Fund $1,200 per year until 2011, a benevolence commitment made by the Council in May, 2001 to two of Al Geldaker’s grand daughters shortly following the unexpected death of Kris Geldaker. (This replaces the special $12,000 Geldaker endowment fund that was to be set up after the congregation received the original $30,000 gift from the Geldaker family). The second priority of the Fund is to repay the $5,500 to the Parking Lot and Beyond Fund, borrowed as part of a loan funding.

Beyond these two initial priorities, which are currently fulfilled, the Micah Fund’s sole purpose and ministry is to grant specific gifts to organizations working for justice or to King of Kings members in financial need, particularly due to economic injustice.

The Micah Fund administration is conducted by Pastor Aimee Bruno and the Council officers.
